We started week 10 off with flat lessons with Anne Kursinski to prepare for the final week of equitation before the WEF Equitation Championship! Anne worked with riders on connection and feeling with their horses through exercises such as a knot in the reins and lateral work without stirrups. In the second half of the lesson, riders were tasked with doing a short cavaletti course while riding with their reins on one side of the neck to work on a light, centered, invisible, and trusting feeling throughout the exercise. It was no easy task, but horses and riders took the challenge with grace and tenacity as they worked through some of the confusion they both felt when first doing such a unique exercise.

Thank you so much Anne for coming out to the farm. We are feeling prepared to tackle the penultimate equitation class of WEF 2022!
