It’s hard to believe we are already over halfway through WEF! Thank you to all our sponsors Pinsnickety, Barn Manager, Equifit, Voltaire, Equine Elixirs, Lukens Horse Transportation, Plughz, Veltri, and Kunkle Gloves for everything you do in keeping us ready for every day and week!

The week got started on Tuesday with flat lessons with Lauren Hough. Riders were able to audit and ride with the three-time Pan American medalist and Olympian and add more skills to their toolboxes that they can use on their respective mounts. We are so appreciative of Lauren for taking the time to come work with our riders!

Wednesday was buzzing at Beacon Hill South as we are proud to announce our partnership with Ridely! The Ridely app is “making equestrians better” by helping them improve goals through training videos with renowned equestrians, goal setting, and planning. Beacon Hill is excited to be a part of the Ridely community and we keep you updated with when Stacia’s training videos will be available! For more information, visit ridely.com.

Last week brought more well-deserved results for the Beacon Hill team, with the combinations putting down great performances in every round. In the jumpers, Rylynn Conway and Escada flew to the win in the Medium Junior Jumper with almost two seconds separating them from 2nd place! Caroline Mirts and her new partner, New Curtis, finished 7th in their first time moving up to the Low Junior Jumper. An exciting combination for the future!

Harper Phipps and HH Casey Jones placed 2nd in the EMO Insurance/USHJA 3’3” Jumping Seat Medal out of a large division, and finished 3rd overall in the WIHS with placings in both the hunter and jumper phases. Carson Phipps brought home 4th place in the Marshall & Sterling/USEF Pony Medal with her ride on NR Golden Graham, finishing with an impressive score of 82.

Joey Roman and Cascatero also put down two lovely trips in the Large Junior Hunters, earning them 5th and 6th place over fences.

In the 15-17 Equitation 3’3”, Harper Phipps and Topper jumped to 4th place honors in Section A, with Emma Blumenkrantz and Caprice finishing 6th in Section B. Mountain King Ranch Grant recipient, Kayla Scherer, has been training with us throughout the week and made her WEF debut in the 15-17 Equitation. Not only did she put in great rides but also took home 2nd place in the 15-17 Equitation flat! It was a pleasure having Kayla with us for the week and we look forward to continuing to cheer her on in the future!
